2014 is over

We have come to the end of 2014.

I have read a lot more books this year than expected. 248 in all, that is 70255 in total. I am still taking part in a lot of reading challenges, more and more of them from Goodreads.

I have decided that in 2015 I am going to try and take part in new challenges which means that there are some that I have been taking part in a couple of years that I won't be doing again. I am also a bit behind as I usually at this point have joined most of the challenges I want to take part in but I have to do that over the next few days.

December 2014 Update

December has been a crazy reading month for me. First the Tower Team challenge started again and I wanted some books read for that. Then I heard about the Hogwarts challenge and then it went completely mad. I have read 29 books which is a total of 7944 pages. That is the highest number of pages any month this year.

July 2014 Update

This has been a brilliant month. Maybe not so much the reading but my holiday to the Yukon river in Canada. We have taken the picture above ourselves when we came upon a bear when we rounded a corner of the river.
I did have time to read on this holiday and I have read all in all 23 books, none of them long books but it still totals 6551 pages.
I am not a poetry person but I still enjoyed some of Robert Service's Lake LeBarge and Yukon poetry while actually being there.
