created by Richard S. Tuttle, called "one of this century's leading
authors of innovative fantasy tales." Volume 1 of Sword of Heavens. From Goodreads.
The start of the book was very slow. The blurb had me expecting
something completely different and not the slow character building of
four of the young main characters. It wasn't bad, I just didn't expect it.
After a while the adventure picks up and at the end of the story things
are revealed about several of the characters. I might continue this series at a later date.
