Dewey's Read-a-Thon October 2013.

I reached my goals as I read the amount of books I wanted and I actually managed most of the 24 hours apart from nodding of a couple of times.

1. Which hour was most daunting for you? I think around hour 14 and the last few hours have been tough to get through.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? If you are into fantasy and mythology then the Percy Jackson series is very good.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? No, you have done it very well this year.
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? I liked the preRaT posts.
5. How many books did you read? 6 but 3 were quite short.

10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time? This was my fifth Read-a-Thon and I am sure I want to take part again. I will be a reader.

I needed to read poetry for a challenge, I am not interested in poetry. This is why I chose this Winnie The Pooh poetry and it was cute, as I had hoped.

My computer has taken pity on me and is working again - for how long I don't know!

I have now finished WitchLove by Emma Mills. Next I will read 3 short things - Winnie The Pooh poetry, Batman graphic novel and Matchmakers 2.0

I haven't as such slept but I have to admit I have been dozing a couple of times, not enough to drop my book but enough to have my head nodding.

This is the 3rd book in Emma Mills Witchblood series. I am still enjoying it but I didn't think this was as good as the first two books. It is still interesting enough and the epilogue makes me want to read the next book.

I wanted to update halfway through but I have had problems with my computer recently and they got worse now. I can't even copy a picture and save it on the computer. Well never mind, I will try updating from my Ipad.

Halfway through I had finished around 730 pages, I hope to read at least another 500.

Debora Geary is my favourite author at the moment. What is not to like. The book is about witches, it has romance, humour and a bit of sadness in it. Life is not perfect, neither are we but that doesn't mean life is not good.

I have finished The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan 557 pages . It was very good and I might read the next book in the series at the end of the RaT.

Just started To Love a Witch by Debora Geary, it is only 70 pages. After that I will continue with An Imperfect Witch also by Debora Geary.

Quite a short book. Exactly what is needed for Dewey's Read-a-Thon to fit in between longer books. As usual, a cute witch story with a lot of humour.

This is the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series which is a sequel to the Percy Jackson series. It is really good and I already have the second book ready but unfortunately have to wait about a week before I read it. But I will get back to it. I like that we get introduced to some new characters.

I started The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan at the start of the RaT, I am on page 343 and doing well. My sister Lise is on her 3rd short book.

It is now after 7pm here and dinner is ready. Lise had prepared dinner earlier and my 19 year old nephew Andreas has just cooked the rice and we can eat.

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? I am reading from my sister's house in Øster Snede, Denmark

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I have been saving An Imperfect witch by Debora Geary for today but I am also looking forward to The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? My sister has prepared dinner for us, if I was on my own I would just have take away, this is much better.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I go on canoeing trips and love bringing my kindle.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? This is my fifth RaT and apart from maybe having a snooze this time as I have been awake 8 hours already, I am not going to change anything.

Dewey's RaT October 2013 is about to start and I am a bit later in setting my goals than usual.

My usual goal is to last the 24 hours but as I at this point have been up for 8 hours already I might need a snooze at some point.

My goal this time is to read:

If I have more time I would like to start.
