I got this book free from Smashwords, thinking it looked interesting. I quite enjoyed it. The group ending up travelling together is interesting and it is nice to have at least one shady likeable character among them as the rest are upstanding members of their different societies. The telepathic cat and dragons also drew me into the story and I am looking forward to see where the author is going with this.
The second book Quietus came out in November 2011 and I will be sure to buy that at a later day.
